ACTOR
Shannon is most recently known for her work as ‘Officer Sheff’ on ABC’s The Rookie and ‘Ensign Tripp’ on CBS’s SEAL Team.
She will appear in the Duplass Brothers Productions upcoming film The Knife, co-written by Mark Duplass (Room 104), appearing alongside Manny Jacinto (The Good Place), Aja Naomi King (Lessons in Chemistry), Academy Award Winner Melissa Leo (The Fighter), and co-writer/director Nnamdi Asomugha (The Good Nurse).
The Knife celebrated its world premiere at the 2024 Tribeca Film Festival, where it earned Best Cinematography in a U.S. Narrative Feature for Alejandro Mejia and Best New Narrative Director for Nnamdi Asomugha.
SCREENWRITER
Shannon was honored as a finalist for the prestigious 2023 Disney TV Writing Fellowship.
Her comedy pilot BLACK MARKET SPERM placed in the Top 10% at the Slamdance Film Festival Screenwriting Competition. Her drama feature EVERY REASON received an 8 on the Black List and was honored as a semi-finalist for the AITAF Bridge Award for Screenwriting. Her pilot DREAMSCAPE was honored as a semi-finalist for the Screencraft Sci-Fi/Fantasy Screenwriting Award.
Shannon is an alumna of the Writers Guild Foundation Veterans Screenwriting Program and the Geffen Playhouse Veterans Writing Project.
AIR FORCE VETERAN
A U.S. Air Force veteran, she served as an Intelligence Officer in South Korea and at the National Security Agency. She has extensive experience writing and producing military stories, including writing and hosting hundreds of informational videos about military trivia with bylines on We Are The Mighty, Business Insider, and Military.com — her content has reached tens of millions of viewers across the globe. She also wrote the ATTN: web series Marching Orders.
Shannon performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. with Diavolo: Architecture in Motion through their Veterans Project and she wrote for and performed in their award-winning short film This Is Me.
She has volunteered with Warriors for Peace Theatre to support their humanitarian mission in Ukraine as well as Operation Flyaway in support of their Afghanistan refugee evacuation efforts. In July 2024, Shannon volunteered with The WAVES Project and the National Park Service to clean up Biscayne National Park, where she and a team of female veterans pulled over 3,000 pounds of debris from the ocean floor.
